Abe Tress
Director of OperationsAs Director of Operations, Abe Tress’s critical skill set puts him right at the heart of Sun Equity’s myriad operations teams. Young, energetic, bright and determined, Abe’s oversight ranges from property management on site, to administrative operations at the office, to new property acquisitions and due diligence. Abe also oversees operating and expense budgets for the existing portfolio and serves as the company liaison to its network of brokers and realtors.
Barry Rothenberg
Vice PresidentWith an accomplished, professional background in all facets of real estate analytics, Barry brings to Sun Equity Partners a critical and diverse skill set that lends itself virtually every angle of the company’s due diligence process. From feasibility studies to market analyses and from value-add projections to overall deal assessments, Barry puts the full weight of his seasoned projection expertise at the company’s disposal. Barry’s longstanding experience in conceptual estimating, cost analysis, and estimate coordination play a critical role in Sun Equity Partners consistent record of identifying underperforming assets, value-add opportunities and executing sound, high-yield acquisitions, in all market conditions.
Charles Mannino
VP of Development and ConstructionAs Sun Equity’s Vice President of Development and Construction, Charles Mannino oversees the activities of the professional and construction teams for all projects. Charles has over 35 years of experience in real estate development, redevelopment, construction management, and operations working with firms including Simon Property Group, Kushner Companies, and Garden Homes. Mr. Mannino has been involved in the development and construction of close to 4MM sf of commercial space and over 600 residential units in suburban and urban mixed-use settings and holds an engineering degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Judy Teitelbaum
ControllerJudy Teitelbaum is the Controller for Sun Equity Partners, overseeing the accounting for the company-owned portfolio. Prior to joining Sun, Ms. Teitelbaum was a senior property accountant at Magnum Real Estate Group. Previously, she worked in accounting at The Pyne Companies, Ltd. Ms. Teitelbaum earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Touro College and is a licensed real estate salesperson.
Robert Tabak
AcquisitionsRobert’s astute sense of business and market prediction, along with his on-target research expertise and due diligence play a critical role in Sun Equity’s proven track record of successful acquisitions. Robert’s adept negotiating skills come to play in contract negotiation, dialogue with attorneys and all facets of assembling the nuts-and-bolts of the deal. These combined strengths along with the team’s boots-on-the-ground in the field are leveraged in Sun Equity’s emergence as a prominent player in the arena.
Ephraim Shapiro
Asset ManagerEphraim Shapiro is the Director of Leasing at Sun Equity Partners. Mr. Shapiro is responsible for lease review, negotiation, and abstracting, and works closely with outside counsel to advise on lease business issues. Prior to joining Sun, he invested in distressed real estate properties and non-performing notes. He also spent eight years as a residential mortgage broker at Valley Funding and began his career in finance as an equity and options trader at Andover Trading and Options Express.
Jake Klor
Asset ManagerWith an innate multi-tasking capacity and natural managerial acumen, Jake joined the company and immediately hit the ground running. Young, ambitious and dynamic, Jake is a critical point man, facilitating optimum coordination and support between the office and the field. With a passion for uncompromising perfection, Jake’s personality and work ethic are invaluable assets to Sun Equity’s management team. His business experience and industrious temperament come together on facilitating the day-to-day management with creative solutions to the inevitable hurdles along the way.
Rivka Hirsch
Executive AssistantAs an Executive Assistant, Rivka Hirsch provides critical backend office support to the executive team. Her duties include management of operating agreements, investor relations, as well as maintenance of the executive team’s personal day-to-day tasks and scheduling needs. In her capacity as the liaison between executives and their contacts, Ms. Hirsch executes meeting arrangements, venue bookings, travel arrangements and itineraries, as well as internal and external correspondence. Prior to joining Sun Equity, Rivka served in the accounting department at the Lightstone Group.
Gitty Reidler
Director of MarketingGitty’s multifaceted skill set is manifested in her role as Director of Marketing. Her flair for marketing and communications was honed over the course of her versatile career experience which runs the gamut from the non-profit sector to healthcare, direct sales, management and virtually everything in between. As Sun Equity Partner’s Director of Marketing, Gitty maintains oversight of all inhouse marketing and communications projects. She also serves as the company liaison for all PR and marketing related services provided by outside vendors and consultants.
Chanie Lieberman
Property AccountantAs a Property Accountant, Chanie oversees the preparation, verification and processing of monthly tenant invoices, as well as the posting and tracking of tenant receipts. In addition to her oversight of the transaction entries form lock boxes and local deposits, Chanie’s accounting responsibilities include reconciliation of accounts receivable ledgers and the review and preparation of lease abstracts for new leases. Other tasks under Chanie’s watch include assisting with annual real estate taxes, CAM reconciliations and other special accounting projects, as needed.
Andrew Ricketts
Property ManagerAndrew has joined Sun Equity’s management team following a proven track record in the field. Andrew’s veteran managerial expertise was developed over a longstanding career in the real estate industry. His unique combined skill set brings a strong handson oversight to the properties under his watch. A high-achiever by nature, Andrew’s joining the Sun Equity Partners team provided a valuable asset to the company’s operations.
Devora Roth
Accounts PayableDevora Roth works in the Accounts Payable department at Sun Equity Partners. Her tasks include organizing vendor accounts, monitoring corporate bank activities, preparing and cutting checks. Additionally, Ms. Roth maintains oversight of project-related records, including contracts and change orders, and assists the controller with monthly bank reconciliations and other month-end items.
